Dishwashers at the Whitewater Center are responsible for washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment in a high-volume restaurant environment. Dishwashers must also keep the dish area and equipment sanitary and organized. Dishwashers are on-site, and can either be hired as full-time hourly, benefits eligible employees or part-time hourly employees reporting directly to the Executive Chef.

Responsibilities

Safely clean, organize, and maintain dishes and dish station equipment.
Load, run, and unload the dish machine.
Immediately report any functional or mechanical problems to the Executive Chef.
Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times.
Fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation within the kitchen.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

No prior restaurant experience is needed.
Excellent communication skills are a must.
Comfortable working in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for entire shifts.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other Whitewater events as needed.

Physical Demands

Must be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time in all weather and environmental conditions.
Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend, stand, lean, and kneel on a regular basis and for sustained periods of time.
Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.
Must be able to work in shared spaces with other employees and customers.
All positions as Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.
