Key Responsibilities:Â Â
- Deliver lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular classroom teacher. Â
- Continually assess student achievement and maintain appropriate assessment and evaluation documentation for institutional and individual reporting purposes.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Â
- Plan and implement appropriate instructional and/or learning strategies and activities, including determination of appropriate kind and level of materials, provide appropriate learning experiences, manage allotted learning time to maximize student achievement, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and available multi-media and computer technology to enhance learning.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners and accommodate individual learning styles. Â
- Collaborate with school staff and administration to support student learning and address any challenges. Â
- Continually communicate with students on instructional expectations to keep them informed of their progress in meeting those expectations.
- Participate in in-service and professional development activities and staff meetings, as required or assigned.
- Follow school policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
Substitutes are Paid Weekly.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited United States institution in a related field. Â
- Valid teaching certification/license for the state or province of assignment (preferred). Â
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting. Â
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Â
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom environments. Â
