We are seeking a Project Management Consultant to join our Transformation team. This role is focused on leading complex, enterprise-scale initiatives with strong governance, financial oversight, and cross-functional coordination. You will drive disciplined execution across business and technology teams while ensuring alignment to established portfolio, funding, and delivery frameworks.

This is an ideal role for a consultant who excels at structuring ambiguity, aligning diverse stakeholders, and delivering measurable outcomes in highly matrixed environments without needing to be deeply technical.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex business and technology initiatives, from project initiation through execution and closeout.
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource forecasts to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and the approved budget.
  • Establish and maintain governance structures, including risk and issue management, decision logs, dependency tracking, and executive reporting.
  • Partner with business, product, and technology stakeholders to define requirements, align priorities, and coordinate cross-functional workstreams.
  • Manage scope and change control processes, assessing impacts to schedule, cost, and outcomes while preparing materials for governance review and approval.
  • Monitor spend and forecasts while keeping projects aligned to expected results and value.
  • Facilitate steering committees, status meetings, and working sessions to maintain alignment, accountability, and delivery momentum.
  • Proactively identify risks and blockers, escalating and resolving issues through appropriate channels.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with sponsors and senior leaders through clear and consistent communication, transparency, and strong execution.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4–8+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale projects or programs within consulting or professional services environments.
  • Demonstrated success operating within structured PMO and portfolio governance frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in project planning, financial management, risk mitigation, and executive reporting.
  • Experience partnering closely with business, IT, and product stakeholders in technology-enabled initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid models).
  • Proven ability to manage scope changes, funding approvals, and portfolio-level reporting.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex status, risk, and financial information clearly.
  • PMP or similar certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus.

Location: Charlotte, NC based. No relocation budget available.
