We are open to experienced licensed Electrical Foremen/Qualifiers or candidates who have completed their electrical hours and are actively working toward licensure within the next 6 months. If you have strong solar and ESS knowledge, leadership ability, and the drive to grow into a qualifying role, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor Solar Service Technicians in the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial solar PV and ESS systems
- Serve as a technical expert for field operations, helping teams solve complex electrical and system issues
- Coordinate daily field activities, job scopes, scheduling, and service execution with operations leadership
- Diagnose and repair inverters, batteries, wiring, monitoring systems, and related solar components
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local AHJ requirements
- Support permitting, inspections, corrections, and technical documentation
- Review completed work to ensure high-quality standards and excellent customer experience
- Assist with BOM creation, inventory management, and job readiness
- Help develop and improve SOPs and field processes as the company continues to scale
- Stay current on emerging solar and energy storage technologies, products, and code updates
Requirements
- Strong experience with solar PV and energy storage systems
- Solid electrical knowledge, including troubleshooting, wiring, inverters, batteries, and system diagnostics
- Leadership experience or the ability to confidently lead and develop field teams
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and plansets
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred:
- Electrical license or ability to qualify in North and/or South Carolina
- Candidates who have completed electrical hours and are planning to obtain licensure within the next 3–6 months are encouraged to apply
- 5+ years of electrical, solar, or related field experience
- NABCEP, OSHA 30, or similar industry certifications
- Experience working with multiple solar and ESS manufacturers
- Knowledge of NEC and local solar installation codes
