Job Overview
The Reservation Coordinator is responsible for managing group room blocks, reservation logistics, and guest reservation support to ensure a seamless experience for both guests and internal teams. This role works closely with Sales, Events, and Front Office operations to coordinate accommodations, maintain accurate reservation details, and support overall guest satisfaction. The Reservation Coordinator also assists with guest communication platforms and provides occasional Front Desk support as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Group Blocks & Reservations
- Group room inventory management
- Oversee group room logistics
- Rooming lists and reservation links
- Manage internal reservation requests
- Create reservation booking links
- Collaborate with sales and events, attend resume and sales meetings
- Front Office:
- Occasional support for phones and front desk
- Empower/GXP guest communication cases and work orders
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school education or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience in hospitality
- Minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience, preferably in a four-star hotel preferred
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- High level attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to multiple software applications like property management system, sales system, commission system and extranets among others
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and math skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit at desk for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, reach, grasp, walk, hear, see, talk and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to push, pull, carry, lift or otherwise move up to 10 lbs.
