About The Position

 A hospital in North Carolina is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurocritical Care for a 7-day locum tenens assignment. Starting on 07/01/2025, this role requires coverage from July 1-7, with 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with Neuro ICU responsibilities, including managing arterial lines, central lines, lumbar punctures, and ventilators. This inpatient-only position involves providing ICU-level care, responding to codes, and managing an average of 4 patients per day. The facility uses Epic electronic health record system, and there is potential for assignment extension.

• Provide comprehensive neurocritical care to ICU patients

• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and perform lumbar punctures

• Oversee ventilator management for critically ill patients

• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care

• Utilize Epic electronic health record system

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols

• Manage an average of 4 patients per day

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina
