Martha Jefferson House, a distinguished small assisted living community in Charlottesville, is seeking a Full-Time Cook to join our Dietary Team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff.
- Follow standardized recipes to ensure consistency, quality, and dietary compliance.
- Assist with meal planning and daily kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the Dietary Director and team members.
- Maintain a dependable work schedule.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen preferred.
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
- Strong attention to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
- Professional communication and reliability are required.
Employment Requirements:
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must successfully complete a practical Cooking Test demonstrating culinary skill and recipe adherence.
