Formerly known as VETSS (Veterinary Emergency Treatment and Specialty Services), our hospital has provided emergency services to the Charlottesville community for over 30 years. In 2018, as the landscape of veterinary care evolved, we began shifting towards urgent care and general practice services.

We are seeking a full-time licensed veterinary technician to join our team of highly skilled and dedicated individuals. We believe LVTs play an essential role in advocating for our patients and providing the best care by practicing high quality medicine and low-stress handling methods.

Requirements

Strong written and oral communication skills
Able to remain calm in stressful situations
Able to sit and/or stand for extended period; shifts range from 9-12 hours
Able to lift up to 40 pounds
Graduated from AVMA-accredited veterinary technician program
Current veterinary technician licensure
Complete the required amount of continuing educations hours to maintain licensure
