Job DetailsJob Location: FARMINGTON COUNTRY CLUB - CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA 22901Position Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeJob Category: Customer ServiceThis is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join the Fitness Operations team as a Fitness Facility Attendant. The Fitness Facility Attendant will ensure a quality experience for members and guests. This is a part-time position, and is an excellent opportunity to develop skills and experience related to the fields of health, fitness, and sports operations and management. Member Services Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional manner Check members into the fitness facility and verify memberships Answer questions about fitness center policies, services, and programs Assist members with class schedules, program registrations, and facility reservations Provide tours of the fitness center to new members or guests Ensure members feel welcomed and supported while in the facility Front Desk Operations Answer phone calls and respond to emails related to the fitness center Schedule personal training sessions, spa appointments, or fitness assessments Process payments for services, retail items, or guest passes Maintain accurate records of attendance, reservations, and transactions Monitor sign-in procedures for members and guests Facility Oversight Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area Ensure fitness floor, locker rooms, and common areas are tidy and stocked Refill towels, wipes, and other fitness center supplies as needed Conduct regular walkthroughs of the facility to ensure safety and cleanliness Report maintenance issues or equipment problems to management Member Support Provide basic assistance with equipment orientation when needed Help direct members to trainers, instructors, or appropriate staff Promote upcoming fitness programs, events, and club initiatives Encourage participation in classes, training programs, and wellness offerings Safety & Compliance Enforce club policies and fitness center rules Monitor facility use to ensure safe member behavior Respond to emergencies and follow proper incident reporting procedures Maintain knowledge of emergency protocols and safety procedures Ensure waivers and guest forms are completed when required Hours/Pay Part-Time available 15-25 hours per week Weekends required $14.50 per hour Free staff meals QualificationsCandidate Qualifications: Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, fitness equipment and proper use Strong adherence to safety standards and emergency protocol, as set forth by Farmington Country Club and the Fitness Department
