Reliability Electrician V- Day ShiftPosition Overview
Shaw Industries is seeking an Electrician V for 1st Shift (MondayāFriday, 7 a.m.ā3 p.m.). This role is responsible for training and mentoring Reliability Electricians IāIII, ensuring they develop the skills needed to perform their duties effectively. Additional responsibilities include the design, installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems.
The use of testing devices to troubleshoot electrical issues and inspect various electrical components.Ā Ā Maintain and upkeep equipment as assigned and participate in root cause analysis of machinery faults, identify the necessary steps to correct the faults, and make repairs and participate in finding solutions to eliminate future recurrence of the faults.Ā

POSITION DUTIES & TASKS:Ā
Maintain manufacturing process and support equipment to highest, reasonable performance levels to includeĀ electricalĀ systems including, but not limited to:Ā
Electrical system components - MCCās, inverters, motors, etc.Ā
Control systems - PLCās, robotics, and other associated automation equipmentĀ
Perform advanced troubleshooting andĀ leadĀ Ā repairsĀ of equipment causing or contributing to safety, quality, downtime/productivityĀ opportunitiesĀ and issuesĀ
Differentiate between cause types when troubleshooting among product, process, mechanical, and electrical contributorsĀ
Communicate findings and,Ā leading design and implementation ofĀ correction stepsĀ Ā
Verify, provide feedback, and update electrical schematics appropriately andĀ in a timely mannerĀ
Execute andĀ assistĀ in developmentĀ ofĀ proactiveĀ maintenance plans, including planned jobs on assigned equipment to include:Ā
Preventive Maintenance (PM) - inspection & measurement of equipment components for proper function applying specifications, drawings, and written instruction on pre-defined schedulesĀ Ā
Condition Maintenance (CM) ā repair and replacement ofĀ components identified as requiring attention through PM &Ā PdMĀ activities based on detailed job plans, including development of detailed jobĀ plans andĀ ensuring anyĀ necessary updates to schematics are completedĀ
Execute assigned or scheduled work orders in support of projects and process improvement (PI) efforts identified as critical to business objectivesĀ
Includes design, setup, and programming of complex PLC and other operational equipment involved in product manufacturingĀ
MentorĀ ReliabilityĀ Electrician IIās-IVāsĀ in development of needed skills,Ā assistingĀ those resources with oversight and management of projects and other work assignments linked to manufacturing systemsĀ

Safety practices - LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, Hot Work,Ā PIT,Ā FallĀ Protection, Hoisting & RiggingĀ
Calculator and Computer application ā work order documentation, parts requisitioningĀ
Measurement units,Ā techniquesĀ and application ofĀ appropriate toolsĀ includingĀ Process Calibrators, oscilloscope, IR camera, data loggers, and data archival and analysisĀ

Advanced understanding of e-stop systemsĀ
