Assembly Technician – Industrial Machinery

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled Assembly Technician to join a three-person crew assembling large industrial machinery. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read drawings and blueprints, and experience using hand and power tools.



Responsibilities

  • Assemble industrial machinery and mechanical components according to drawings and specifications.
  • Install shafts, bearings, gearboxes, motors, brackets, guards, and related components.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly documentation.
  • Use hand and power tools, torque wrenches, drills, grinders, and measuring equipment.
  • Perform drilling, tapping, fitting, alignment, and basic fabrication as needed.
  • Troubleshoot fit-up issues and identify incorrect, damaged, or missing parts.
  • Maintain quality standards, production schedules, and a clean, safe work area.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control, Machine Shop, Fabrication, Electrical, and other team members.



Qualifications

  • Previous mechanical or industrial assembly experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with common hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • OEM or custom industrial machinery assembly experience strongly preferred.
  • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
