Job DetailsJob Location: KT-Chattanooga East Lake - Chattanooga, TN 37407Job Category: Food ServiceSchedule/Hours: Monday – Friday Summer Hours 10am-2pm School Year Hours:  1:30pm -5:30pm  This position is responsible for: Plans, prepare, cooks, and serves nutritious meals and snacks by established guidelines and schedules; ensures all meals are ready and done in a safe and presentable manner; cleans kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances; maintains an inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner. Key Responsibilities: Plans menus, remove and supplies necessary for preparing and serving nutritional meals. Prepares snacks and prepares plates of food for people to eat during/after regular serving hours. Maintains proper supply and orderliness of kitchen stock inventory to meet the kitchen’s needs remove receive, and processes food purchases; verifies that invoices are accurate and submits for further processing. Cleans tables, chairs, floors, dishes, utensils, and kitchen appliances.  Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Physical Requirements: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to show up to work on time. Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Ability to cook, taste, and smell food. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by a combination of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.  Working Conditions: Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, and heat, or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work is performed in a typical kitchen environment where limited physical discomforts may be associated with working around hot stoves/ovens or cold freezers.
