Primary Responsibility

The E-commerce Operations Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of direct-fulfillment orders, maintaining customer satisfaction, and upholding the company's commitment to delivering high-quality products on time. They are responsible for daily operations of picking, shipping, packing orders and fulfillment activities for SCT’s Direct Fulfillment operation.


Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing: Accurately process and review direct-ship orders received from customers, ensuring all necessary information is complete and correct in our internal ERP system.
  • Order Picking: Efficiently pick and pack products for direct-ship orders, ensuring the correct items are selected. Use order picking systems and equipment to streamline the process and maintain the highest level of order accuracy.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with the inventory team to monitor stock levels of products available for direct shipping, ensuring timely replenishment to meet demand.
  • Shipping Coordination: Collaborate with our parcel partners to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring prompt and reliable transportation of orders to customers.
  • Quality Control: Perform thorough quality checks on outgoing direct-ship orders, ensuring products meet Southern Champion Tray's high-quality standards before shipment.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any order-related issues or discrepancies promptly, ensuring effective communication with customers and internal teams to find solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the direct-ship fulfillment workflow and collaborate with relevant teams to implement efficient solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of direct-ship orders, tracking information, and related documentation for future reference and scaling strategy purposes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations and guidelines, both at the national and international levels, to facilitate smooth and legal transportation of products.
  • Packing: Demonstrate the ability to efficiently pack products for shipment, including in the primary packaging.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Strong organizational skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including ERP systems. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of sustainable packaging practices and materials is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in direct-ship fulfillment, logistics, or a related field.
