The Stadium Corporation is the operating entity of Finley Stadium Davenport Field, the First Horizon Pavilion, and surrounding property. Role
Reporting to the Facilities & Projects Director, the Facilities Lead is directly responsible for executing routine facility upkeep tasks, preventive maintenance, and event preparation activities. This position helps lead the Facilities Team by demonstrating good work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to constantly improve the condition of the facility. The Facilities Lead needs to be self motivated, be able to prioritize tasks, and identify projects that need to be completed.
This is a full-time position, with competitive pay and benefits. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Performs emergency, corrective, and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and adjustments on a variety of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical fixtures & components.
- Participate in the operation, maintenance and repair of diverse facility equipment which may include commercial kitchen equipment, door/lock repair, minor painting, carpentry and general duties as assigned that utilize basic mechanical aptitude.
- Leads the Facilities crew in routine maintenance of the campus grounds and landscaping, including mowing, edging, blowing, treating weeds, mulching, pruning, leaf collection, and the planting and care of the native planting beds throughout.
- Participates in the execution of painting and paint removal operations to create a high quality, clean soccer pitch and convert to football with team specific layouts and logos.
- Operates and maintains the various pieces of equipment utilized on the field; including the drag, brush, sweep, paint sprayers, and paint remover machine.
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials.
- Perform hard-surface maintenance including pressure washing, scrubbing and debris cleanup.
- Perform event related duties, set-ups and coverage for functions as assigned.
- Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients.
- Supervises Facilities staff and assists in hiring, training, scheduling, and management process.
- Serves as Facility Lead on-duty during all football and soccer stadium events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Experience in MEP or facilities maintenance with a mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift and carry packages or materials up to 50 pounds.
- Exceptional people skills, and practices the core value of Put People First.
- Experience in operating light machinery and working at heights.
- Forklift certification a plus.
- A willingness to be hands-on, learn building skills, and make decisions when Facilities lead on-duty.
- Ability to work independently or within a team.
- Personable, Detail-oriented, Self-starter, Problem-solver, Team player, and ability to present information to internal and external clients.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends.
