Lab Technical Assistant (2nd Shift) Chattanooga, TN

Blood Assurance is seeking a compassionate, dependable full-time, 2nd shift Lab Technical Assistant to join our downtown Chattanooga lab team. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm, with a shift differential, and every 3rd Saturday from 11:00am-7:00pm. The Lab Technical Assistant serves to assist with non-technical laboratory duties including daily/monthly/quarterly quality control of products and equipment. This role also involves preparation of samples for reference testing and preparation of supplies for lab co-workers. Additionally, this role processes blood orders, prepares blood components and performs other lab and clerical duties as assigned.    

This position requires light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The person in this role is subject to indoor environmental conditions, as well as the rare case of extreme heat or cold for periods greater than one hour. This job requires stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and making repetitive motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
