ĀQualifications:
- Experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Proficiency in basic cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of local food handling and safety guidelines/standards.Ā
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and or holidays as required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and kitchen staff.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds safely.
Job responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in using knives to prepare ingredients with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization, including regularly scheduled cleaning and occasional deep cleaning.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as cooking various dishes and managing different orders at once.
- Prepare stations before service and restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow established recipes to prepare dish components accurately and consistently.
- Maintain consistency in food preparation by following approved recipes, portion sizes, and kitchen procedures.
- Assist in portioning and prepping ingredients for upcoming shifts to facilitate efficient workflow.
- Monitor product freshness and follow proper rotation procedures to maintain quality and minimize waste.
- Support kitchen operations by performing additional duties as required.
