PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Create a positive and professional first impression of Southern Champion Tray by efficiently (and in a friendly manner) answering the phone and welcoming guests at the front desk, in addition to effectively accomplishing varied administrative People Team tasks.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Greets guests, clients, visitors and vendors in a professional, friendly and hospitable manner directing to the proper person; ensures security check-in and safety procedures are followed for all visitors to the plant
  • Answers incoming calls friendly and professionally and ensures they are directed accordingly, demonstrates good phone etiquette with a strong customer focus
  • Monitors cleanliness of office area; takes initiative notifying proper personnel of concerns
  • Prepares and sends out Birthday and other cards for plant and office team members
  • Regularly updates company phone lists and other documents for company reference
  • Manages company vehicle reservations, usage log, and communicates maintenance requests as needed
  • Manages Team Member stock product order payments
  • Handles company mail – receives and distributes incoming mail; posts outgoing mail
  • Orders and coordinates distribution of company special occasion gifts for Team Members, such as baby onesies, and flowers for funerals and hospital stays
  • Company event support as needed
  • Assist with special projects such as Operation Child Christmas boxes, Angel Tree, OE packet preparation
  • Prepare new hire orientation packets and name tents
  • Assists the People Team with all other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years’ office experience. Proficient in MS Office applications - Word, Outlook, Excel, and data entry skills. High School diploma or GED. College studies and/or degree not required, but a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and understand complex documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly and communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide both fractions and decimals, solve equations, read measurements. Use formulas to calculate and analyze data.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with arms and hands. Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds. A person must be able to perform these functions for a minimum of 8 hours straight (with any applicable breaks during day) on a regular basis.
