Job Description
The Recruiter 1 is responsible for implementing and managing UNITED’s recruiting programs, policies and procedures. Ensures staffing process aligns with current and future workforce needs and maintains all regulatory compliance. Responsible for creation of diverse sources for qualified applicant flow.
What your day will look like:
- Partners with hiring managers on all job openings taking into account budgeting headcount and vacancy priority
- Utilizes Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for hiring process. Responsible for ensuring UNITED hiring process is in place and all hiring practices are in accordance with federal and local laws
- Responsible for accurate maintenance of recruitment documents and activities including but not limited to requisition data forms, requisition folders, interview notes and input of appropriate disqualification codes
- Responsible for partnering with Hiring Manager/local Human Resources Team/Talent Acquisition team to determine effective recruiting strategies for attracting qualified diverse candidates by position/location
- Responsible for complete life cycle of recruitment:
- Determining qualifications for applicants to be considered candidates
- Conducting phone screens, video interviews, virtual or face-to-face initial interviews
- Preparing Human Resources Review templates for internal candidates
- Creating selected candidate offers
- Presenting elite candidates to the Hiring Manager for review
- Initiating all pre-employment screens as needed by position and ensuring results comply with Company standards
- Communicate and coordinate candidate start date and information regarding new hire orientation
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with local educational institutions, community outreach with vocation schools and partnerships with state/local labor departments
- Responsible for UNITED job fairs, career events and for public speaking engagements related to employment with our Company and in accordance with our look of success
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university; or 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to travel to all locations to support Hiring Managers with recruitment process as needed
- Professional HR or Recruiting Certification preferred
- Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills; written and verbal communication skills; organization, planning and an attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups of candidates, associates, community/educational partners and key stakeholders
Physical Requirements
Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
