During a time of strength, momentum, and growth, McCallie seeks an experienced and dynamic Student Billing Manager to join our team. As a direct report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Student Billing Manager is responsible for billing and collection of tuition and incidentals, as well as other tasks as assigned.
This is a year round (12-month), full-time position. It is considered non-exempt under the FLSA, and it is eligible for full benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with parents regarding student billing matters, including collection issues
- Bill and collect all net tuition revenue (enrollment/reenrollment) and incidental charges (monthly)
- Accept payments from families and enter into appropriate systems
- Maintain the FACTS tuition management system and manage issues as they arise
- Reconcile student billing subledger to general ledger
- Review aging report monthly with CFO and implement any action plans determined therein
- Communicate with the Director of Tuition Assistance regarding aging accounts for TSSAA compliance
- Oversee the business office portions of the enrollment and reenrollment processes in accordance with school policies and in cooperation with the Admissions and Information Systems offices
- Manage student holds
- Oversee discontinued loan program balances and accounts in arrears, including communicating with families who may be turned over to collections and making recommendations to CFOÂ
- Process miscellaneous cash receipts as needed
- Administer Tuition Refund Insurance program, including claim filing
- Oversee school credit card program
- Process employee reimbursements weekly
- Administer the TN Education Freedom Scholarship program
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Blackbaud Financial Edge and FACTS Tuition Management is a plus
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting preferred
- Detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrate excellent oral/written communication skills
- Discretion and integrity when handling confidential or sensitive information
- Deep understanding of, support for, and desire to live out McCallie’s mission for the good of McCallie boys - including both the school’s Christian foundation and its commitment to the ideals of honor, truth, and duty
