Veterinary Technician Externship

At Veterinary Care and Specialty Group (VCSG), veterinary technician students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Chattanooga’s largest veterinary specialty and emergency hospital. Since 2016, VCSG has been committed to delivering advanced medical care with compassion, providing a dynamic learning environment for future veterinary professionals.

 

Veterinary Technician Externs are exposed to a wide variety of cases and can participate in many aspects of patient care, nursing support, diagnostic procedures, and specialty services while working alongside experienced veterinary technicians and board-certified specialists. Students gain valuable experience in emergency and critical care, advanced surgical procedures, oncology, and other specialty disciplines.

 

With a team of more than 150 veterinary professionals, VCSG is dedicated to fostering education, collaboration, and professional growth. Through mentorship and real-world clinical experiences, externs can strengthen their technical skills, build confidence, and gain insight into the teamwork required to provide exceptional patient care.
