CEP operator mechanics are responsible for recording operating pressures and temperatures of the central energy plant systems. Performs daily preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on all equipment and systems within the plant and any other duties as assigned.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Operates, monitors, and maintains central energy plant equipment to ensure uninterrupted utility services for healthcare operations.
- Operate and monitor boilers, chillers, pumps, and associated equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of plant systems such as changing seals, maintaining PH regulations, water quality testing, blowdown of pressure vessels, pneumatic and air inclusion line compression, etc.
- Adjust system parameters to maintain optimal efficiency and compliance.
- Record operating data and prepare reports for compliance.
- Troubleshoot and repair central plant equipment.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs.
- Respond to system alarms and emergencies to restore service.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

1 year experience working in boiler room or in energy plant operations/setting.
