Per Diem Anesthesiologist opportunity at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga! Founded in 1971, Parkridge Medical Center offers compassionate care and advanced technology in a comfortable and convenient setting. The 275-bed hospital near downtown Chattanooga features comprehensive diagnostic and medical/surgical services, including cardiovascular surgery, cancer treatment, intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. As part of the Parkridge Health System, patients also have access to OB-GYN services, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults. Case Assignments include orthopedic, general, GI, cardiac, pulmonary cases, endovascular, electrophysiology, neurosurgery, GYN and a small amount of pediatric anesthesia. Various schedules and shifts available. Responsibilities include assisting in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department, medical management of patients under anesthesia during surgery and other procedures, pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining/verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with patients, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring patient's physiological condition, and performing clinical interventions as needed. Requirements include M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, and current physician license.
