The Installer is an entry-level position responsible for the physical installation of audio-video and related equipment. Core duties include mounting TVs and other peripherals, pulling wire in both new construction and retrofit environments, and maintaining job site cleanliness. This role provides hands-on experience and the opportunity to learn advanced techniques, paving the way for advancement to a Tech I position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Mount televisions and other AV components securely and according to specifications.
- Run and terminate cables (e.g., HDMI, Cat5e/6, speaker wire) in new construction and retrofit projects.
- Install and configure basic AV equipment (e.g., soundbars, media players).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including job site cleanup.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
- Assist technicians with more complex installations and troubleshooting.
- Learn and apply new installation techniques and product knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation.
- Maintain company tools and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (e.g., TVs, equipment boxes).
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
- Ability to work in various environments (e.g., attics, crawl spaces, construction sites).
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
