Job Description

The operator – Forklift 2 is responsible for safely moving product using powered industrial equipment.

What your day will look like:

• Operation of powered industrial equipment while following UNITED safety policy 
• Verify all product/full goods/raw materials incoming and outgoing
• Stacking loads properly
• Perform general housekeeping duties
• Perform daily forklift inspections 
• Correctly rotate product/materials
• Responsible for following all warehouse operating procedures

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum 18 years old
• Good work record 
• Good attendance 
• Dependable with a good attitude 
• Good safety record 
• The ability to receive and follow instructions 
• The ability to work well and get along with other employees and/or customers 
• In the event of drivers, to have a good MVR 
• Must be able to pass the Company physical 
• Must have a neat appearance
• Must be able to pass the forklift training sequence 
• Must successfully complete the initial and the qualifying forklift skills test 
• Must be alert and aware of surroundings 
• Some forklift operation experience preferred 
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position
• Employees who have held a Forklift position for at least 90 days will have preference in qualifying for the position

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.

(L) Limited = 1% (1 hr)

(O) Occasionally = 2%-25% (1-2 hrs)

(F) Frequently = 26%-50% (3-4 hrs)

(R) Repeatedly = 51%-75% (5-6 hrs)

(C) Continuously = 76%-100% (7+ hrs)
