JOB SUMMARY:
Oversee safe and effective audio, lighting design, video production and rigging for showroom events, concerts, and conventions at Harrah’s Cherokee Event Center and Convention Center. Manage and maintain equipment inventory. Interface with internal departments, artist representatives and clients in all event spaces to execute events.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES—LEVEL 1:
Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
Work in conjunction with Entertainment Manager, Production Manager, Production Technicians and AV Technicians
Cross train in audio, lighting, and video systems to ensure proper skill sets are obtained to operate all aspects of theatrical equipment in the Event Center and Convention Center
Oversee proper audio, lighting and/or video for all events
Communicate and work with artist/convention representatives prior to and during events to ensure desired requirements are met
Maintain and facilitate the repair of theatre audio, video, and lighting equipment to ensure all equipment is always in working order
Manage inventory
Supervise load ins/load outs and give clear direction and support to stagehands and other employees assisting in the set up and execution of events
Administer London architect/BSS, sACN lighting/network, d&b R1 line array software
Maintain distributed audio and video systems
Integrate touring audio and video with existing house audio and video networks
Coordinate and assign radio frequencies for wireless microphones and FM transmitters for assisted listening devices
Adhering to all safety practices and maintaining a safe workplace
Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects and committees by providing input and suggestions
Manage special projects including the ability to specify audio and lighting needs for existing and expansion projects
Other duties as required to deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES—LEVEL 2:
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Level 1 duties
Create lighting, audio and rigging plots in AutoCAD design software
Successful rating on last performance appraisal
Successfully pass a proficiency test on Level 1 responsibilities with a score of 90 or above
Have more than (7) attendance points
Seek coaching from supervisors to improve performance
Ability to perform special tasks as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
Specialized degree or certificate in Theatrical Lighting or Audio Engineering preferred
Five years demonstrated experience in stage lighting or sound reinforcement required
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
A working knowledge of concert sound and lighting systems
Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Proficient with computer networking
Ability to mix FOH and Monitors using digital consoles and/or operate lighting consoles
Must possess strong interpersonal skills, public relations, and employee motivational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to anticipate, identify and exceed guests’ expectations
Strong organizational, administrative and communications skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be able to work in small, shared office space
Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time
Must be physically able to load and unload equipment trucks
Must attend to multiple tasks simultaneously
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 25 pounds
Must work 60 feet above the ground at times
Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, computer, fax machine and photo copier
Must be able to tolerate area containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination including strobe lights, vibration, crowds, and air quality including secondhand smoke
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
