Our Oncology services are in high demand, offering an exciting full-time opportunity to practice cutting-edge medicine with access to advanced diagnostics and treatments while contributing to the continued growth of the Oncology Department. The established team includes two Oncologists, two Veterinary Technician Specialists in Oncology, and additional dedicated support staff. The hospital’s comprehensive network of departments includes Anesthesiology, Avian & Exotics, Behavioral Medicine, Clinical Pathology, Emergency and Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Primary Care, Rehabilitation, and Specialty Surgery.
Responsibilities:
 • Provide high-quality outpatient and inpatient Medical Oncology careÂ
 • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnostic findings, treatment options, prognosis expectations, financial expectations, and at home care for their pet’s medical conditionÂ
 • Collaborate with a skilled support team of technicians, assistants, and front desk staff within and outside of the Oncology DepartmentÂ
 • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely medical records and treatment plansÂ
 • Participate in departmental and hospital meetings, rounds and case discussionsÂ
 • Mentor Veterinary Interns and Veterinary Student Externs as assignedÂ
 • Support our culture of teaching, learning, mentorship, and teamworkÂ
Requirements
• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey
• Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Veterinary Medical Oncology (DACVIM-Oncology)
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, teaching, and communication skills
• Passion for client education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practicing medicine across all spectrum-of-care aspects
