We are seeking individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents.

Join our team as a Youth Support Worker and together, we will continue providing a safe, supervised and structured residential setting for at-risk adolescents.

About Hope Homes – Crooked House

Hope Homes – Crooked House is dedicated to providing a therapeutic environment that offers individualized care and support to residents aged 14–21. Our professionals play a crucial role in guiding adolescents through unique challenges, empowering them to reach their full potential. We believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and support to up to five residents, including supervision, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments and activities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for each resident.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and effective delivery of therapeutic care.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other career development activities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete resident records, including progress notes and incident reports.

Qualifications:

  • A high school or high school equivalency diploma and one year of experience working with individuals with I/DD in a group setting; OR
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field that is unrelated to social work or psychology and six months’ experience working with individuals with I/DD in a group setting; OR
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology or a related field

Other requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Physical & Drug Screening, Criminal Record History, FBI, and Child Abuse History Clearances

  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
  • Has knowledge and understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals with autism, intellectual, and developmental disabilities.
  • Can assist with daily living activities and implement behavior management strategies.
  • Demonstrates composure in challenging situations, exhibiting patience and understanding.
