 JOB SUPPORT STAFF (Part-Time) variable hours
 

The Disability Services Department at Samost Jewish Family and Children’s Service (JFCS), an agency of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, is currently seeking Part Time Job Support Staff  

Responsibilities:         

Job Support Staff focus on providing pre-vocational/employment training and support for individuals with disabilities at worksites within the community

  • Perform and document task/job analysis at the job site to break down the job responsibilities into teachable components.
  • Prepare and document a list of routines that client performs at the worksite.
  • Advocate for the individual with disabilities, including fostering of co-worker relationships at the worksite.
  • Monitor client/students’ progress through frequent communication with the client's supervisor.
  • Monitors client/students’ safety at the work site
  • Report progress/and or concerns to the Manager of Job Support Staff as needed, via phone calls, e-mails, or supervision meetings.
  • Review and respond to e-mails or text messages from Manager of Job Support Staff regarding scheduling and any other changes pertaining to the client and worksite. 
  • Attend staff meetings/in-service, (when held and if work schedule permits)
  • Complete daily progress note documentation as required by JFCS, DDD (Division of Developmental Disabilities) and contracted school districts.  
  • Communicate effectively with employers, employees, and other professional staff in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Required Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, or related field or two years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
    • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Additional Technical Requirements:  
    • Moderate Level PC skills, Microsoft Office –Word and Outlook
    • Ability to perform work that is routine and strong attention to details.
    • Excellent project management, customer service, organization, and time management skills 

Schedule:

  • This is a part time position (approximately 5-15 hours per week)
  • This is a Daytime Weekday Position. No Night/Weekend Work Available.

Work Location:

  • Off-Site at Client Work Sites 
  • JFCS office(s)
