Merchandise Systems Analyst

Summary of Position

The Supply Chain Analyst/Systems Administrator is responsible for managing assigned systems including:  Relex, JDA Allocation, and RPAS.  Creating/updating system components, variables, methods, dashboards while reviewing system accuracy and operational effectiveness. They support the Inventory Management team with creative solutions to issues, research, training, KPIs, and productivity statistics.  This position is also responsible for daily/weekly inventory management reporting using Business Objects (Google BigQuery), Showcase Query, and Access databases.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Replenishment System Management

• Support the Inventory Management team, with creative solutions to allocation and replenishment issues, research anomalies that are causing negative impacts on KPI’s, and system and process training.
• Review weekly exception reporting to identify issues with service levels, instock, and inventory targets; develop and implement corrective action plans to ensure business goals and objectives are maintained.
• Help monitor system performance and provide additional support as needed.
• Assist with testing, data input, and ad hoc support.
• Assisting in validating system enhancements and tool changes that impact inventory management.
• Build new and edit existing dashboards to meet the changing needs of the business.
• Oversee and coordinate the flow of Inventory through the distribution centers and third-party vendors.
• Create and maintain documentation (SOPs, user guides, FAQs) to support consistent usage.

Reporting

• Support the DT organization by providing ad hoc, daily and weekly reporting & analysis via data warehouse queries and tools.
• Key reports: Relex velocity and inventory reporting, KPI, Large order, Forecast Accuracy, Instock and Service Level.   

Team Leadership

• Conduct end-user training and onboarding for new hires.
• Participate in development and testing of system enhancements.
• Provide solutions to changing merchandise strategies.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong understanding of retail or supply chain planning processes such as forecasting, replenishment, inventory optimization, and store operations.
• Highly proficient with Excel and Access software (advanced functions including, but not limited to, macros (VBA), access forms, access reports, visual basic and/or power query, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to train and support cross-functional users.
• 2+ years of experience with Relex or similar supply chain planning tools (e.g., JDA/Blue Yonder, Anaplan, SAP IBP, Oracle RPAS).
• Knowledge of Software “Best Practices”
• Strong analytical skills

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with current retail enterprise planning, assortment planning, allocation, and replenishment software.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (SQL and Power BI)
• Experience with MMS (AS400) environment, Business Objects, Showcase Query, and Google BigQuery.
• 3-5 years using allocation, and replenishment applications.
• Other significant retail experience or operations experience such as Logistics, Merchandise Planning or Buying
