General Summary
Looking for a great way to earn extra cash this summer? Our Weekend Merchandiser position is a perfect opportunity for college students on summer break, or anyone interested in gaining hands-on experience and getting their foot in the door in the industry. This role offers a chance to build valuable workplace skills while working in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Summer Store Merchandiser, you will help move stock from the back room to shelving locations, rotate products, and display new items to keep shelves fully stocked and visually appealing. This position will also be trained by our excellent Sales staff to ensure all products and shelving areas are clean, organized, and presented in a way that attracts customers.
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid VA Driver License – MVR must meet Hoffman Beverage standards.
Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to operate efficiently under minimal supervision (self-managed role)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- A willingness to be trained and follow procedures accurately
Experience:
- Previous beverage experience preferred
- Previous merchandising experience preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for personal expenses associated with vehicle, this includes maintenance and gas.
- Maintain a fast work pace with effective time management.
- Maintain open availability Monday - Friday, with occasional weekends, dependent on business demands.
- Responsible for the stocking of shelves at accounts, such as grocery stores accounts.
- Comply with proper product rotation standards for product freshness and quality.
- Prepare damaged and outdated product for pickup and return to the warehouse
- Follow company merchandising standards
- Meet customer service expectations through daily communication, problem resolution, and appropriate follow up.
- Maintain professional and team relationship with co-workers and customers.
- Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Complying with all mileage reimbursement requirements for reimbursement eligibility.
