Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Condition Monitor in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, access points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns, policy violations, and observed conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
