Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and/or authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document security-related observations, incidents, and patrol activity.
• Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, communicating site policies, and reporting maintenance, access control, or other security-related issues to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
