Summary:Ā 

Our Precision Components division is looking for an Assembler to assemble aircraft component parts following operation sheets & blueprints using a variety of small hand tools and machinery. Ā Ā 

Ā 

Essential Functions:

  • Assemble complex aerospace components.
  • Inspect and verify quality of work when complete.
  • Using micrometers and calipers to verify work performed is conforming to BP tolerance
  • Files and buff part to fit.
  • Drill, tap, ream, countersink parts using a Bridgeport.
  • Positions and aligns parts.
  • Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together.
  • Disassemble and replace parts as required.
  • Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies.
  • Lift pieces and positions and secures it on a machine table or in holding fixtures.
  • Assist other assemblers and employees as required to meet production and safety requirements.Ā 
  • Performs daily 6S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) activities in work area
  • Perform other related duties or responsibilities as required.Ā

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must be a ā€œU.S. Personā€ as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
  • High School Degree or G.E.D
  • 1+ years of experience in assembly preferably in a Aerospace Manufacturing environment

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel domestically – 10% max
