Summary:Â
This position will play a hands-on role in working with our Help Desk to support end-users, assisting System Administrators to maintain HAU’s enterprise systems, and strengthen our cybersecurity posture. This internship is designed for a rising student who is passionate about IT administration, network engineering, cybersecurity and eager to apply what they have learned in the classroom to real-world systems.
Essential Functions:
- Updating and organizing IT documentation and knowledge bases.
- Performing basic system monitoring and reporting.
- Manage Users and Computers creation in Active Directory and Microsoft O365.
- Work with IT team to manage workstation setup, software installation, patching, updates, and other helpdesk ticket submitted by users.Â
- Assist with updating and maintaining documentation for network infrastructure including switches, routers, and wireless access points.Â
- Review and clean up Active Directory security groups to ensure appropriate and least-privilege access.
- Help track cyber security compliance documentation and audit artifacts related to CMMC 2.0 and NIST SP 800-171 standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Current GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.Â
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.Â
- Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.
- Knowledge of computer systems, software, and basic networking concepts
- Familiarity of network and system security
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in ticketing systems, documentation tools, and spreadsheets
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel 5-10% when required.Â
