The role, at a glance:Â
The Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and improves manufacturing equipment and facility support systems used in speaker production. This position is responsible for preventive maintenance, calibration activities, equipment reliability, and minimizing production downtime. The role supports CNC woodworking equipment, coating systems, compressed air and ventilation systems, magnetizers, and other manufacturing assets.Â

How you'll contribute:Â
Perform preventive maintenance on plant machinery, equipment, and facility support systems to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned production downtime.Â
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and document repairs on production equipment including:Â
Wood CNC routers, vacuum systems, and associated tooling
Polyurea coating and finishing equipmentÂ
Magnetizers and related production equipment
Compressed air, ventilation, and dust collection systemsÂ
Hardware insertion equipment and other manufacturing machineryÂ
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment failures.Â
Work with Production Management to coordinate maintenance schedules and equipment downtime activities.Â
Coordinate with Facilities personnel and external contractors to support utility, infrastructure, and equipment-related projects affecting manufacturing operations.Â
Track and report preventive maintenance activities, corrective repairs, and equipment performance metrics.Â
Maintain calibration schedules and records for production equipment and tooling; perform in- house calibrations and coordinate external calibration activities with service providers.Â
Maintain spare parts inventory, maintenance tools, and repair documentation.Â
Identify and implement improvements that enhance equipment reliability, safety, maintainability, and production efficiency.Â
Interface with various levels of management and cross-functional teams to communicate priorities, report equipment status, and escalate issues when necessary.Â
Respond to equipment breakdowns and production support needs to restore operations safely and efficientlyÂ
Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures while performing maintenance activities and equipment repairsÂ
Â
You'll also support with:Â
Operating machine shop tools and equipment in support of maintenance activities and manufacturing improvementsÂ
Assisting with installation, commissioning, relocation, and startup of new manufacturing equipmentÂ
Assisting with facility maintenance projects as neededÂ
Performing general housekeeping activities to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly conditionÂ
Producing effective written and verbal pass-down communicationsÂ
Traveling for equipment installation, maintenance, and technical training as requiredÂ
Installing, modifying, and repairing compressed air distribution lines and related equipment within production areasÂ
Participating in safety initiatives and support corrective actions resulting from safety observations or auditsÂ
Supporting continuous improvement activities related to equipment reliability, uptime, safety, and manufacturing efficiencyÂ
Other duties as assigned by your supervisorÂ

Qualifications:Â Â
High school graduate with additional 2 years in a technical training program requiredÂ
Minimum 2 years work experience in a manufacturing environmentÂ
Experience with hands-on maintenance and repair of PCBA and sheet metal equipmentÂ
Demonstrated ability in technical problem solving, troubleshooting, and reading mechanical drawings, schematics, and circuit diagramsÂ
Competent in Microsoft Office applications, and proficient in ExcelÂ
Possesses excellent verbal and written skills in EnglishÂ
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various departmentsÂ
Available to alternate schedules and work over-time as neededÂ
Strong customer service skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasksÂ
Motivated with the ability to work with little daily supervisionÂ

Work Environment:Â
Warehouse environmentÂ
Minimal travel: ~5%Â
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally, with assistanceÂ
Stand or sit for long periodsÂ
Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bendingÂ
Work in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levelsÂ
Use tools that require fine hand skillsÂ
Visually, observe and differentiate small moving partsÂ
Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areasÂ
