This position will be in the Infusion Department and will be Full Time.   This position is 8-hour shifts, 7:45am - 4:15pm with variable days of the week, mostly Wednesday and/or Thursdays.

Job Summary:
Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. Works in the Infusion Center where infusion, IV, injection and other care and attention is required.  Provides individualized, quality care for the patients of the Infusion Center.  

Reports to Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications:
Licensure: 
o : Illinois RN License in good standing
Education:
o Minimum – Associate Degree Nurse

o Earn Certificate in Chemotherapy in the first 12 months or less.
Training:
o Annual education, skills and competencies required by MH. 
o BLS 
o ACLS & PALS or ENPC (within 1 year)  
Experience:
o Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, Infusion experience preferred. 
o Clinical Skills, Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Nursing Skills, Physiological Knowledge, Administering Medication, Medical Teamwork, Multi-tasking, Listening, Verbal Communication, Health Promotion and Maintenance, outstanding bedside manner, provide leadership to the care team, detail oriented, displays positive attitude.
Immunizations:
o Vaccinations per IDPH, CDC and CMS.

Performance Requirements: 
 100% On-Site work 
 Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems, and objectives.

 Maintain positive culture and attitude. 
 Must be able to multitask and keep organized.

Infusion Essential Functions:
ï‚·
  Same as primary job description
 Uses critical thinking and problem solving.
 Prioritize assessments, tasks and interventions
 Complete all above in a timely fashion
  Plans for the next day by evaluating the schedule and discussing with nurse and manager.
 Demonstrates proper management of Infusion Center protocols for medications and conditions 
  Demonstrates timely assessments, treatments and discharge planning.
  Stays up-to-date on Infusion Center items, by attending in-services and education sessions
 Is able to recognize, initiate, and understand proper management of emergency conditions requiring standardized protocols.
 Will take initiative, during downtime, to complete daily tasks
