Job Description

Role: Production Supervisor
Location: Chester, South Carolina

Job Summary

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for promoting a safe work environment, leading a team of employees to meet performance goals in safety, quality, and productivity. The role includes managing staffing, training, employee relations, and ensuring operational compliance with plant policies and performance standards. This role is key in fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence in a high-performance manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain IKO safety goals and ensure a safe working environment for all employees

  • Lead safety and housekeeping efforts; execute corrective actions as needed and lead by example

  • Supervise employees to achieve goals in safety, quality, productivity, morale, and housekeeping

  • Administer and enforce plant policies and procedures relating to personnel activities

  • Foster positive employee relations and provide coaching and development opportunities

  • Resolve employee issues and conduct performance counseling as needed

  • Manage departmental KPIs and performance metrics with visual controls and reporting

  • Prioritize and manage department tasks, notifying appropriate personnel of issues

  • Maintain accurate and timely personnel records and other required reports

  • Ensure staffing meets established efficiency levels and manage employee schedules

  • Oversee employee work assignments, breaks, vacations, training, and shift rotations

  • Lead training efforts including onboarding, cross-training, and refresher training

  • Coordinate with the Production Manager on staffing, performance, and associate coaching

  • Set employee goals and conduct quarterly performance reviews

  • Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, and deliver employee orientation

  • Perform other job-related duties as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; a minimum of 8 years of relevant supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to provide simple and accurate instructions

  • This is a safety sensitive position
