About the Role
As a Biomedical Equipment Technician II, you'll work independently with limited supervision to ensure clinical equipment operates safely, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory standards. You'll troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain a broad range of medical equipment, including moderate- to high-complexity diagnostic and therapeutic devices, while supporting hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout an assigned territory. You'll also serve as a technical resource and mentor to Biomedical Equipment Technician I team members.
What You'll Do
- Independently install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on diagnostic, therapeutic, laboratory, and life-support medical equipment
- Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and complete corrective actions to restore equipment to manufacturer specifications
- Perform electrical safety inspections, functional testing, software updates, and equipment verification
- Respond to customer service requests and communicate equipment status, repair progress, and recommended corrective actions
- Complete accurate service reports, work orders, preventive maintenance records, calibration documentation, and equipment histories
- Troubleshoot medical device networking, connectivity, and interface issues in collaboration with IT and clinical teams
- Support equipment installations, relocations, upgrades, and decommissioning
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Biomedical Equipment Technician I team members
- Participate in an assigned on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required
What You'll Bring
Required
- 3–5 years of experience servicing biomedical equipment in a hospital, healthcare system, military, or field service environment
- Advanced knowledge of biomedical equipment, electronic theory, electrical safety, and diagnostic testing
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and repair moderate to complex biomedical equipment
- Working knowledge of medical device networking, operating systems, and basic cybersecurity principles
- Ability to interpret service manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel frequently within an assigned local and regional territory
Nice to Have
- Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology, Military Biomedical Equipment Training, or a related technical field
- CABT, CBET, A+, Network+, OEM, or equivalent technical certifications
- Experience with CMMS software and medical device configuration or manufacturer diagnostic software

Location & Travel
This role provides on-site technical support to hospitals and healthcare facilities within an assigned territory.Â
Initial training will take place at either our Appleton, WI facility or our Madison, TN headquarters. Following initial training, you will transition into supporting customers within your assigned territory.
