You may have found this opening on DirectMed Imaging's careers page or LinkedIn - it is the same team, and your application goes to the same place.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered just north of Nashville in Madison, TN, Tri Imaging Solutions helps healthcare providers keep their diagnostic imaging systems running - supplying quality-tested replacement parts, equipment, and nationwide service across CT, MRI, mammography, X-ray, and more. We are also home to an industry-leading training center on a mission to empower the engineer, and we are ISO 13485:2016 certified.

About the Role

As a Biomedical Equipment Technician III, you'll serve as a senior technical resource responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, calibration, and performance verification of complex biomedical and medical imaging equipment. Working independently with minimal supervision, you'll provide advanced technical expertise for highly specialized diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support equipment.

You'll also serve as a primary escalation point for complex service issues, mentor junior technicians, lead technical projects, and partner with clinical teams, manufacturers, and vendors to maximize equipment reliability and patient safety.

What You'll Do

  • Independently install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, upgrade, and perform preventive maintenance on highly complex biomedical and medical equipment
  • Perform advanced diagnostics using manufacturer software, engineering documentation, schematics, network diagnostics, and specialized electronic test equipment
  • Analyze recurring equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Lead complex equipment installations, relocations, decommissioning projects, upgrades, and technology implementations
  • Serve as a senior technical escalation resource for complex service issues and coordinate with manufacturers when additional support is needed
  • Lead troubleshooting involving medical device networking, interoperability, cybersecurity, and software integration
  • Communicate equipment status, repair recommendations, lifecycle planning, and service strategies to customers and leadership
  • Develop standardized repair procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation
  • Mentor Biomedical Equipment Technician I and II team members through hands-on coaching and advanced troubleshooting support
  • Participate in an assigned on-call rotation and provide advanced after-hours technical support as required

What You'll Bring

Required

  • 5–8+ years of progressively responsible experience servicing biomedical equipment in a hospital, healthcare system, OEM, military, or independent service organization
  • Expert knowledge of biomedical equipment, electronic systems, medical device networking, and advanced diagnostic techniques
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and repair highly complex medical equipment with minimal supervision
  • Advanced understanding of medical device networking, cybersecurity, operating systems, and clinical system integration
