Job DetailsJob Location: Chester, VA 23831Department: Operations                Job Status Full Time FLSA Status:    Non-Exempt                Reports To: Area or Local Manager Work Schedule: As assigned            Amount of Travel: 80%     Positions Supervised: None Position Summary: The Locate Technician will oversee assigned locate requests daily. Key Responsibilities: •    Manages ticket routing per service area. •    Responds to customer queries in a timely manner and communicates with the team. •    Responsible for field safety, locate request, vehicle safety, and vehicle maintenance. •    Maintains a clean vehicle.   •    Projects a positive image of the organization to customers, industry, and community.  •    Performs other related duties as assigned.  Skills and Experience: •    Proficient knowledge of all locatable facilities (gas, electric, communication, copper, fiber, water and sewer. •    Sound verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.  •    Sound diplomacy skills. •    Skilled in Excl and locate ticket management systems. •    Advanced knowledge of various facility records/prints. •    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. •    Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.  QualificationsRequirements: •    Must be able to work forty (40) hours a week, overtime and be On-Call as required. •    Must be able to travel from time to time. •    Basic knowledge of underground infrastructure. •    Basic knowledge of Electromagnetic Theory. •    Basic computer knowledge (email, excel and software, pdf, kmz, JPEG). •    Must be able to work outside in the elements. •    Excellent customer service skills. •    Integrity and reliability.
