Special Education Teacher

Location: Emden, IL
Position: Full-Time
Position Type: In-person
Tenure: ASAP through the end of the 2026–2027 school year

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and academic support while helping students develop the skills needed for success in school, work, and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver instruction aligned with individual IEP goals.
  • Provide academic, behavioral, and organizational support to students.
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate IEP-related documentation.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on student goals and services.
  • Work closely with general education teachers and related service providers.
  • Support students in developing independence, self-advocacy, and transition skills.
  • Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with families and members of the educational team.
Qualifications:
