FCP is a leading real estate investment company that has invested in or financed more than $12.5 billion in assets since its founding in 1999.  We are currently seeking a Multifamily Asset Manager to join our Washington, DC team. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing real estate private equity firm.
YOUR IMPACT:
As a Real Estate Asset Manager, you will lead our operational, strategic, and investment decisions by:
- Being in direct control of a large portfolio of multifamily assets in multiple markets
- Overseeing a team of analysts and construction personnel to review and analyze financial statements, rent rolls, and operating/capital budgets to make strategic decisions
- Creating financial analyses, including operating budgets, cash flow projections, and investment return calculations to lead annual business plan discussions
- Traveling to portfolio assets to perform site inspections, evaluate performance, and make changes as needed (travel will be required)
- Engaging in the Investment Committee process to help make investment and disposition decisions
- Coordinating/managing due diligence review and closing process
- Assisting with arranging and closing debt financing; and the disposition of assets
- Presenting property performance to the entire firm quarterly
- Working closely with multiple property management teams to implement and manage FCP’s business plans
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree with excellent academic credentials, with preference for majors in Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate or Property Management. MBA/Masters Degree a plus
- 3 to 6 years relevant experience (including internships) working in real estate asset management
- Ability to lead a team of direct reports to accomplish quantitative goals
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables
- Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Python, VBA, and SQL a plus
- Motivated self-starter with effective time management skills and strong attention to detail
- Great organizational skills and a desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment
