Overview

A warm and kind family is seeking a polished, self-directed, live-out Executive Housekeeper to maintain their large private residence. The household consists of a husband and wife, the husband’s father-in-law, and three beloved pets. The principals are busy professionals who travel frequently and value a home that runs smoothly and beautifully in their presence and absence alike. They have a strong track record of long-term staff retention, and they are looking for someone who will grow with them for the long haul.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position, with hours from 10:00am to 6:00pm. The family is looking for a candidate who takes genuine pride in their craft and brings warmth, discretion, and initiative to everything they do.

Responsibilities

• Full-charge housekeeping of a large, luxury private residence maintained to consistently high standards
• Daily kitchen cleaning and maintenance
• Laundry and linen care including bedding changes
• Bathroom cleaning and sanitization
• Vacuuming, mopping, and dusting throughout the home
• Tidying and resetting all common areas daily
• Weekly rotating organization projects including closets, storage areas, and household systems
• Grocery shopping and household supply management
• General household errands as needed
• Light cooking component focused primarily on reheating and plating pre-prepared meals
• Occasional meal organization and support for the father-in-law residing in the home, including laying out meals and organizing fridge access so he can move through his day with ease
• Occasional meal prep support on weekends as the principals cook in bulk and the housekeeper assists with portioning and storage
• Daily dog walking and feeding for 1 dog and 2 cats when principals are away or unavailable
• General pet-related cleanup
• Flexibility to assist with vet visits as needed
• Warm, friendly engagement with the elderly father-in-law who resides in the home; casual conversation and attentiveness to his comfort are genuinely important to this family

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is experienced, intuitive, and genuinely warm. This person takes full ownership of a household without needing to be directed, brings a high standard of care to every room, and treats everyone in the home with consistent kindness and respect. This family is informal and non-micromanaging, but they have high expectations and deeply value a home that reflects care and attention in every detail.

Requirements

• Proven experience in executive or full-charge housekeeping within a private home setting
• Highly detail-oriented and takes consistent pride in their work
• Organized, reliable, and fully self-directed
• Driving ability preferred 
• Comfortable working in an active household with pets (1 dog and 2 cats)
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving household needs and schedules
• Warm and professional presence in a home where principals may be working or on calls throughout the day
• Genuine comfort and kindness with an elderly household member strongly preferred
• Long-term mindset and commitment to growing with a family are highly valued

Salary and Benefits

• $40 per hour
