The Quality Control Inspector samples the company's raw materials and finished products to ensure the integrity and quality of the manufactured items. Tests and hands-on inspections are performed before, during and after production to ascertain that products are free from flaws and are of the highest quality. When quality standards are not met, quality personnel will advise the Quality Control Leadership of the issues.
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Approves incoming materials, in-process materials, and finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.Â
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.Â
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and informing Quality Control Leadership when repairs are required.Â
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.Â
- Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment (temperature changes, dust, equipment, etc.)
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Other duties as assigned.
 Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:Â
- Associates degree from a recognized training facility (may be offset by experience).
- 1-3 years experience in quality control (may be offset by advanced training).Â
- Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks.Â
 Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Â
- Must be able to read engineering drawings
- Must have experience in supporting a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work with minimum supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced.
- Ability to utilize common inspection and measurement equipment.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T application and practice as it applies to the mechanical inspection process.
- Excellent communication skills.Â
- Experience with injection molded and machined parts highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of business computer systems and Windows-based software required.

- This position reports to the Quality Control Manager.
