The Quality Control Auditor samples the company's ready to ship, finished products, in process raw materials, and rejected materials, to ensure the integrity and quality of the manufactured items and maintain a companywide understanding of Magpul Quality Criteria. Tests and hands-on inspections are performed before, during and after production to ascertain that products are free from flaws and are of the highest quality. When quality standards are not met, the Quality Control Auditor will advise the Quality Leadership of the issues. The primary duties and responsibilities associated with this position include but are not limited to: Maintains quality standards by auditing ready to ship product, finished product, in process materials, rejected materials and recording quality results. This role seeks excellence in daily operations through a sense of pride and ownership in overall performance (quality, safety, efficiency). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Approves ready to ship product by confirming specifications and conducting visual tests on pick lists, bill of materials and packaging requirements and communicating any discrepancies to Shipping and Quality Leadership.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to Production and Quality Leadership.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual inspections and verification of bill of materials and packaging requirements; returning products, as needed, for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Documents audit results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database. 
  • Train Production personnel in proper understanding and interpretation of Quality requirements and processes as applicable.
  • Operate non-powered warehouse equipment to transfer pallets and boxes from dock to the appropriate warehouse location (QC inspection, staging, etc.). 
  • Record and update information in the Magpul ERP system as required.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and informing supervisor when repairs are required. 
  • Ability to learn new program/ product quality requirements and ensure adherence to them. 
  • Maintains a high level of attention to detail, data integrity, and overall accuracy. 
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations. 
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment (temperature changes, dust, equipment, etc.).
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements: 

  • Must have high School Diploma or GED
  • Must have experience in supporting a manufacturing environment. 
  • Ability to follow direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks. 
  • Experience with injection molded and machined parts highly desirable. 

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Experience with reading engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail. Proficient in adherence to written processes.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced. 
  • Ability to learn to use common and company specific inspection and measurement equipment. 
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and oral. 
  • Experience with business computer systems and Windows-based software desired.

  • This position reports to the Quality Control Manager. 
  • Competitive pay rate commensurate to experience. 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer. The applicant must be authorized to receive Technical Data and/or Technology under U.S. export control laws. Any offer made is contingent on the applicant passing a background check that will include a restricted party screening and, for prospective employees who are Foreign Persons, on the Company obtaining all necessary export licenses. In addition the applicant will be required to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
