The Manufacturing Engineering Tech I works with the Production and Manufacturing Engineers to provide engineering support and fixture assembly as directed. The Manufacturing Engineering Tech demonstrates a passion for safety, a high attention to detail, and strong mechanical aptitude.
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Build, assemble, and troubleshoot new production fixtures.
- Train Production Techs on expected fixture adjustments.
- Assist production management with potential hazards associated with fixtures and tooling.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, correcting unsafe behaviors, and complying with legal regulations.Â
- Performs time studies and confirms the validity to time studies submitted by other groups.
- Works to continuously improve in all areas by evaluating the process to reduce waste and add value.
- Provide engineering support in the production department to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems. Work with production techs and onsite engineers as required.
- Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment (temperature changes, dust, equipment, etc.)
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 55 lbs.
- Other duties as assigned.
 Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
- Associates degree in applicable field; may be offset by experience
 Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to understand and interpret, engineering drawings.Â
- Must be able to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to various individuals.
- High attention to detail.Â
- Able to work with minimum supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced.Â
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects.Â
- Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior.

- Organizational: This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
- Pay Rate: Competitive pay rate commensurate to experience.
- Background: Must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer. The applicant must be authorized to receive Technical Data and/or Technology under U.S. export control laws. Any offer made is contingent on the applicant passing a background check that will include a restricted party screening and, for prospective employees who are Foreign Persons, on the Company obtaining all necessary export licenses. In addition the applicant will be required to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.Â
