Responsibilities:
  • Repair, install, maintain, calibrate and inspect a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation
  • Complete all required paperwork on new equipment inspections and equipment repairs and failures accurately and on time
  • Properly maintain company issued equipment
  • Maintain expected productivity according to productivity and billing requirements
  • Stay current with new products and new technologies in the biomedical industry
  • Communicate job status to management
Requirements:
  • Strong demonstrable technical troubleshooting ability
  • Working knowledge of electronics, electricity, electro-mechanical, fluidics, pneumatics and hydraulic theories and practices
  • Understanding of and ability to operate specialized test equipment used on medical equipment
  • Broad knowledge base of various hospital/homecare medical equipment
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with (MS-Windows, MS-Office Suites)
  • Adaptable and able to respond to changing priorities while remaining focused on results
  • Physically able to fulfill job functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs., using small tools and BMET equipment
  • Associate’s degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology (or successful completion of the military BMET school)
