Summary:

In this role, you will provide contracting and sourcing expertise while leading a team of portfolio executives to enhance supplier relationships and member value. You will negotiate agreements with Brand & Vaccine pharmaceutical manufacturers.  You will lead, expand, and develop program strategies, process improvement initiatives, new relationships, and build an advantaged portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and negotiate a large portfolio of pharmaceutical, vaccine, services, and technology agreements, including renegotiations, renewals and extensions.
  • Accountable for actively engaging in negotiations with suppliers on a regular basis and continuing to drive for additional value.
  • Collaborate and align with committees, peers, councils and key stakeholders to drive additional value.
  • Execute on business strategies and negotiation strategies set by manager.
  • Manage business unit reports and finance reports
  • Develop and mentor team members (direct and non-direct reports)
  • Review and identify categories for clinical innovation and new business opportunities.
  • Manage the team and contracts to Company compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy/PharmD required.  Master’s in business is a plus.
  • 7 or more years of experience required.
  • Experience in a pharmacy sourcing and/or supply chain management strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PP) required.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel.

This is an office based role with an expectation of three days per week on site (Irving, TX, or Chicago, IL)

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
