Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented entry level Associate Highway Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be involved in transportation projects that will improve how people get around Chicago and throughout the Midwest.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Preparation of plans, sketches, and details for transportation projects primarily involving geometric design of roadways utilizing CAE/CAD software and other technical tools.
  • Assist with engineering calculations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Assist with the preparation of design, drainage, traffic, crash, and other technical reports including report text, exhibits, and other investigations.
  • Provide input and technical knowledge to support other staff working on the same project including interaction with all levels of design professionals and disciplines.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Qualifications You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • 0 to 3 years of related experience post-graduation.
  • Familiarity with CAD (preferably MicroStation) and ability to learn new software.
  • Relevant work experience and/or internships preferred.
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate or the desire and ability to obtain one within 6 months is preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills and desire to work with a team of technical experts.
  • Technical accuracy and desire to continually improve skills.

Salary Range: $26.25 - $45.96
