Job DetailsJob Location: WTB Ohio - Chicago, IL 60611Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 HourlyHost Location: River North, Chicago, IL Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time Reports To: General Manager / Floor Manager About the Role We’re looking for a warm, polished, and hospitality-minded Host to join our cocktail bar in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. The Host is the first point of contact for every guest and plays a key role in creating an energetic, welcoming experience from the moment guests arrive. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and understands that great hospitality is about anticipating needs, staying composed under pressure, and making every guest feel genuinely welcome. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests with confidence, warmth, and professionalism Manage guest seating, reservations, waitlists, and table flow Provide accurate wait-time estimates and communicate updates to guests Coordinate closely with bartenders, servers, managers, and other members of the team Maintain an organized and efficient entry and waiting area Answer phones and respond to guest questions about reservations, menus, hours, and the bar experience Monitor the floor and help ensure a smooth flow of service Assist with guest requests and resolve minor concerns with professionalism Maintain a polished appearance and represent the bar’s brand and hospitality standards Support the team with light side work and other operational tasks as needed Uphold all company policies, service standards, and safety requirements What We’re Looking For Previous hospitality, restaurant, or guest-facing experience preferred Genuine enthusiasm for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm, organized, and friendly during busy service Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Professional, confident, and personable demeanor Reliable and punctual with a strong team mentality Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require Interest in cocktails, nightlife, and Chicago’s hospitality scene is a plus What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation Opportunities for growth within the hospitality team Employee dining and beverage benefits A collaborative, energetic work environment The opportunity to work alongside an experienced hospitality team in one of Chicago’s most active neighborhoods If you’re passionate about hospitality, love connecting with people, and want to be part of a high-energy cocktail bar in River North, we’d love to hear from you.   Qualifications
